To be honest I have not used this very much, however once a parking spot is identified by the system I thought you had to press the red 'P' on the screen to start parking. This does not seem to be the case in the attached video. Could someone confirm please?

Yes, you have to confirm by pressing red "P" and he is doing it by pressing the iDrive knob.
I do the same. I hate fingerprints on the screen.

The system on the BMW is so much more accurate and... just clever, than the Jaguar equivalent. I was astonished when the BMW did the whole lot, including gear changes and braking by itself.

I used this today for the first time to parallel park. Wow! It did it perfectly ��. I’ve always prided myself with being able to park but I couldn’t fault the way the car did it.

Same, used it a few times just to test, perfect every time! I love how it does everything when reversing into a space, accelerates, brakes, even changes the gears and fully stops when finished! Amazing bit of kit, so far 100% accurate!
