M340i exhaust tips delete?
The only thing I dislike about my M340i are the exhaust tips. I'd love to replace them with a real exhaust and remove the tips. Has anyone done this yet? What are my options in terms of parts?

I’d say unless you did a quad exhaust you’re stuck with the trapezoids. Single exhaust tips wouldn’t fit the cutout in the bumper.

You can swap with a 330i.

But they are releasing an M-performance exhaust for the M340i later this year, so I assume its possible to remove the exhaust tips as they would likely remove them and have an actual exhaust sitting there instead

From what I recall, the “tips” are attached to the rear bumper with just a couple of bolts, so should be easy to remove.
I’m sure a muffler shop (or you if you’re handy with some ordered tips and clamps) could make “real” exhaust tips that attach to the actual exhaust. |

Does a rear diffuser exist that would make this possible? That'd be the route I'd go. I can't see cutting away the existing I'll call it a tip and then installing actual exhaust tips and it looking at all good. I'd definitely be interested to see this cause I'm not a fan of the stock setup.

I know BMW wants to have some separation between the M340i and M3 but I really wish this was factory. Do you have the inlet and outlet diameters?

I am looking at going quad tips too. It looks like the stock pipes are 3 inch pipes that have been squished into an oval shape. It was hard to measure, but they were around 3 1/8" wide by 2 3/4" tall

more info on these tips??? Do you have a link or can explain how you installed these?
This is the biggest thing for the rear of the car...If you have a CF rear diffuser then these quad tips are the way to go |

I ended up finding out that the name of this quad exhaust is BASTUCK.
Haven't found an exact price but limited research is looking like 2000 euros . I'll reach out to the company to confirm. https://www.bastuck.de/de/bmw-m340ix...g20-limousine/ |

Dang
You don't need to be able to read German to know what they are saying:
