I have just been informed that the delivery of my 330E next week is cancelled due to a BMW worldwide direction that all deliveries of electric and hybrid vehicles new and used are stopped immediately.

Does anyone have any further on this?

I was in contact with the BMW online genius at 1630 this afternoon regarding my G21 340dx that went into build this week. It is just a mild hybrid with the 48 volt system. I was advised my car is built and currently with their partners for delivery w/c 3 Aug

I'm in the same boat, due delivery 27th of July, been told that all BMW PHEV vehicles are on delivery stop due to faulty charging cables!

Tried Genius, they are not aware of this issue?!

Guess it will come out soon enough, could do with how long the delay will be.

Not sure how true this is. My 330e was delivered with no trouble yesterday. Both cables in the boot.

I am getting performance kit fitted and then PPF so probably mid August before I get it on the road if you can wait until then.

Just put my Vin into the recall checker and no recall. Mine was only delivered in June.

Maybe it only affects 2019 builds not 2020. Mine is a Nov 2019 but registered March 2020.

I assumed that the Vin checker for recalls would mention my cable/sticker thing as per the connected app, but it didn't either.

Car going in for 07/2020 update so will ask about the sticker (forgot to mention on booking)

Collected this morning. Normal service resumes. Don’t know the full details but seems to be an issue around the three pin cable overheating if not fully inserted as documented above.
