I dont know what was worse, checking on updates in MyGarage not knowing exactly what was going on and not knowing timelines for each step of the build, OR checking every hour to see where the ship was on the map and cursing everytime it stopped short or randomly went southbound to another port...

Luckily I'm about 40 miles from the Baltimore VPC so I'm hoping there is no delay with the port installed options!

Please keep us posted on the port options; a number of us are wondering how long it's going to take.

Edit: what port options have you opted for?

LOL I've been doing the same thing I'm hoping for the same since I did choose for the MPE port install, I am hoping that I get it in first week of October and hopefully the programs are better

For port install options, I choose to go with the MPE and rear Carbon Fiber Diffuser/Black Trim piece. I was going to add more but my CA said there was an issue putting the additional parts on the order. The system kept giving an error, which he said is typical if they are out of stock (dont think I necessarily trust that part of it).

Instead I'm ordering the black side rocker panels, front black spoiler, rear carbon spoiler and mirror caps from getbmwparts.com. I'm close to that dealership and will just pick them up and decide if I want BMW to install them or do it myself.

I wonder if that's what's going on with mine. They could only add the MPE on mine, though I was trying to get the other items. Hopefully they can add them on, since mine is a lease.

Bought a '20 M340i in Mineral Grey off the lot today. What a stunning color in person. Won't miss the blue at all.
Also glad I got a button to turn auto start/stop off.
What makes you think the 2021 model does not have the button for ASS?

There isn't an on/off button for you to press due to the addition of the 48V mild hybrid system but it would turn off in Sport Mode

It doesn't have the ASS button. I sat in one that was delivered to my dealership this past weekend that was being prepped for a delivery. No button.

Got notified today on the delivery timeline... Ship dropoff to Port of Baltimore was 9/15 (Grand Hero), registered with port VDC 9/16, options installed by 9/18 and tentative carrier delivery to my dealership on 9/19.

That's pretty quick, looks like the VPC is moving quicker the anticipated, let's see how the port at NY/NJ is moving, I'm sure volume will play a role in the time table.

Side note* I was watching the cargo the past 2 days and I noticed it was dancing around the 2-3 ports in that Bmore area, it feels like I'm being teased on when it will start making its way to NJ

Yeah, if I'm not mistaken it's on all the 2021 models excluding the full M models.

Looks to me that it is not on the 330i models. Maybe I am wrong but it looks like you need at least a six cylinder engine.

You should be able to learn your build week and expected completion date by calling the BMW Genius line.

It's usually 2-3 weeks from the time order is received until you get it reaches the final stages of production. Once it's on the assembly line it's usually 3-4 days until it's ready to be shipped.

I placed my order but not for the car I was originally going to order. I was leaning towards a M440i, but just wasn’t sure I could live with the front end styling, plus there weren’t any real deals on them yet. I placed my order for a M340ix in Mineral Gray. Looking forward to my first M’ish product lol.
