Do anyone know what are the usual days BMW is shipping the cars? It's been officially 2 weeks since the Production of my car was completed. But still the status of my car says Ready for Transportation. When i checked with my dealer my car should arrive within 2-3 weeks from now.
So just curious to know what are the days generally BMW ships the car. So that I can just login to bmw my garage on that day to see whether there is any change in the status. |

Looks like RCC Europe made it to Baltimore! At DUNDALK port. Is that the usual port it goes to there? Just wondering, but hopefully Jersey is next and possibly even earlier then expected ETA?!

I doubt it will be early. The ETA for Baltimore was 8:00am but it didn't arrive until much later. If the crews that unload only work regular hours, then the loading won't occur until tomorrow. Still hoping tho!

"Production Begins" sometimes means it's just in the queue to be assembled. If I remember correctly, mine was in 'production begins' for maybe a week or two before it actually was being built.

Ordered my m340i on 9/18, and its been in "Ready to Transport" for almost 2 weeks. Called BMW genius today and they told me my car is in the port waiting to be assigned the carrier...I hope thats done next week and it gets shipped out. I was hoping to get it by the end of October but looks like it will arrive beginning of November.

The good news is that once it’s on a boat it’s all downhill, you start getting ETAs and you can actually track progress. |

I asked and they could only tell me it was at port and they could not see if it was assigned a ship. I only call on Fridays so don't know how long it has been at port. Last Friday it was not at port. From past experience they don't typically sit at the port very long, but that was from Germany. Hoping it made RCC America, it was being loaded today and leaves tonight.
With all of that said, BMW is a brilliant logistics company and I find it irritating they can't tell you where your car is precisely any given day and where it will be tomorrow. Somebody at BMW knows all of that. Past European Deliveries I could track my VIN as it was at port from the Wallenius site. Now they use different companies with limited tracking. For example, RCC stands for Rays Car Carriers, in case that gives you any insight into the sophisticated tech deployed. |

I fully expect to see my car listed by the dealer when it arrives. In my market there are very limited 3 series for sale, and none with some of the things I included. |

For reference, my car sat for about 2 weeks before getting on a ship, but some folks have had them sit for longer. I'm currently on a ship right now, but since I'm adding port accessories, I'm also expecting a wait at the VPC even once it arrives. Hang in there! Our cars are all on the way, one way or another... |

For those of us on the RCC Europe, it's still in Baltimore. It will need to leave that port tomorrow if it's to make it to Newark by the previously scheduled date of 10/19. Looking at the prior GLOVIS ship, it takes just under 24 hours to travel from Baltimore to Newark.
