Thanks for your investigations about laser headlights. I have EU car with laser headlight. Could someone tell me in short words what’s this thread is about? There are a lot of pages. It can be useful for European cars or only for US cars? Thanks in advanced

Primarily, anti-dazzle headlights get deactivated for cars headed to the US. Since you are in Europe, you shouldn't need to code this.

Did you get yours to work properly?

For the most part, yes!

There are a couple sensitivity codes I'd still like to tweak (reaction to glare off street signs, street light sensitivity) but it definitely works.

Awesome thread! so just to confirm, this has to be done in E-sys? and can't be done in bimmercode?

That is correct. Coding this particular feature requires a VO code and BimmerCode cannot do that.

Are you from germany?

Do you have a stalk with High beam assist?

I've had it on my F36 and now on my G21.

Buying the high beam assist adds anti dazzle function.

I am working on some Esys cheat codes that might work without VO coding. Hope to test them this weekend.

Coding requires mostly FDL coding. BMW must have gotten wise to VO coding and changed boolean logic.

Not strictly the case. Anything VO coding can do FDL coding can do better

Well at least the same in any case.

The reason bimmercode can't code anti dazzle, using fdl coding, is that it doesn't support one or more of the ECU's.

VO coding relies on boolean logic. VO coding, if logic is correct, takes guesswork out of deciding what to change and makes adjustments for you.

FDL coding does not make the changes better; it is just manual changes.

It was a joke, on the song quote from the musical. Obviously fell flat

I use the activation conditions/understand the underlying boolean intimately, and use it extensively in my code discovery and publishing.

Put up a PR for the changes required to use anti-dazzle. I haven't fully tested the functionality with FDL only coding yet due to the weather, but basic tunneling is at least present. Other members have reported success with only these changes, but I will verify myself and report back when the weather improves.

I have VO coded anti-dazzle. Works great!
But after coding all apps disappeared from mgu including spotify and carplay.
Anybody had similar situation?

Remember to fdl code flm modules as well.

I think you missed some bdc codes too.

I have coded on g20, g05, g07, and g12... They work well.
