Average service price
What have people been paying for their first BMW service? My car (a 320i petrol, 11000m) is coming up for its first two year service.
I’m going to contact the two dealers near me first, but would be interested to know what others have paid. |

Just go to the BMW service website. Prices are transparent.

I paid exactly what I was quoted on the BMW Service website for the first service on my 330i. I tried to haggle, but they would not budge. The price was £330. I could have saved £30 by not having the Cabin Filter changed.
Hopefully I will not have to go back to BMW as the next service is in 19000 miles or Aug 2022. I will have sold the car by then as the BMW staff I had to deal with are some of the rudest people I have come across! |

Didn’t realise you had to go through the booking process to get the price.
There’s a £175 oil service but apparently this will ‘invalidate’ the warranty So the one with the micro filter is £275 + a £30 ‘scope’ charge. I called dealer and he seemed to think this added up to £330. When I pointed out the BMW website charge it was dropped to £305. It’s due two new rear tyres soon, (nearly gone at 11000m despite driving like miss Daisy), so an expensive month coming up |

That was Barretts Canterbury. I booked it in 4 months early at 12K miles. I had no less than 3 phone calls asking me why I wanted it serviced as it was not yet due. 3 months later and we are in 3rd lockdown when the service would have been due! When I picked it up the guy was extremely rude and told me to my face I didn't know what I was talking about when I inquired about a couple of issues.
I also had a bad experience with Arden Tunbridge Wells. I sat there in August attempting to trade in my 330i with £8.5K of options against a 20 plate M340i with only the technology pack. The service managed sat there and told me that to put my car through the BMW approved program would cost him £4k and that's why he would only offer me £22k for a car I'd paid £36 for less than a year ago. He told me he had added a couple of hundred extra to the offer because of the M Sport Pro pack, Visibility Pack, Comfort Pack and technology pack. I pointed out that there was no comparable car in the BMW network under £32K, but he told me he would struggle to sell mine for more than £27,500 on the forecourt I told him in no uncertain tems that he was talking BS, and I would be keeping my 330i. I will be looking to trade it in against a Mercedes some time this year. Just fed up with BMW Dealers. |
