100% true. I've never been to a track and I probably won't (unless there is a good one near me that's within two hours of driving one way). So I've never considered a VBOX or Racebox. Where I live at now, it's arrow straight roads for miles with the occasional ups and downs. Which is why a dragy works best for me

I'm thinking of getting a dragy myself as there are no tracks in Hong Kong (but plenty of twisties) Thing is I don't really care about super accurate acceleration figures, so maybe the logging feature in jb4 is good enough for me shrugz Quote:

Wowzer. 5.67s without LC and slight uphill is crazy! My stock xDrive was definitely slower! I keep wanting to do a stock run but I can't stop myself from tanking up with some E85.

Temp - 35°F
Fuel - ~E25 (3/4th tank) winter fuel Tyres - Michelin PS A/S 3+ No weight reduction. Car was driven hard before doing the run below (no cool down period). Mods - JB4 on custom map 6 This car definitely loves the cold more than others I own/owned. Runs done on the same private road I always do my runs on. PS - Trap speed at the quarter mile was 106.41MPH.

Yes it is. The quarter mile actually surprised me. I wasn't expecting these times compared to the stock 13.9-14.1 I got a long time ago. A JB4 and some magic from Knifeedge2k1 made this stage 1(-) car a beast!

Since you're in Germany, your car is not electronically limited to less than 249kph like in the States?

I believe cars have electronic speed limiters only in NA. I know they don't have it in Asia.

Quarter mile runs using launch control and E25-E27 fuel: On map 2, it was 13.50s (did only one run once a long time ago) On map 3, it was between 13.28-13.41 (best and worst times - usually around 13.35). I did get a 13.15s ONLY once though. On map 6, it is between 13.05-13.17 (best and worst times - usually around 13.12). On map 0, it was 14.1-14.3 (best and worst times). Edit - I know a lot of people have gotten 13.6-13.7s stock times. Which is why I've always thought there was something wrong with my car being so slow stock But the latest map 0 run was done yesterday and 14.3s@96.4mph was what I got Edit 2 - The 13.9s stock number I mentioned in a previous post was a mistake. That was actually the time for a WOT run in map 3 I got a while back (which I mistook for a stock run when I was going through my dragy results). WOT runs with map 6 are significantly faster (13.3-13.4s).

WOT quarter mile times on map 6 are only slightly slower than LC quarter mile times on map 3. That's how good map 6 is.

I'm still waiting for my draggy but still no luck. It's been shipped from the UK, and my tracking number has been stuck on the same location for 7 days because of Brexit related delays. I was hoping to get it before the tuning box arrives to test the stock 0-100 and 1/4 mile, but I think the box will arrive first. |

I'll try not to install it before I get the draggy. I want to make the measurements before it's installed to make a fair assessment of the gains with the box. |

And yes. The Ventura box is quite expensive. I got the JB4 used, for a great deal. So pleased with it. But yes. I hope the Ventura is similar too.

From what I saw online, ventura has a peak boost of +5psi, so it might not reach the same level of performance as JB4. |
