Unique number plates
Hi guys,
Has anyone chenged their standard number plates to something a little more nice? Im thinking of using: https://www.fourdotdesignerplates.co.uk/ Maybe going to a classic bold design, Anyone got any examples on thier M340i of what they went for? |

I don't want anything that makes my car stand out. No mods, no customisation, no fancy/silly plates.
The thing is, if you make your car stand out you make it a target. A target for thieves. A target for vandals. A target for Plod. Far better to just blend into the background, IMHO. |

I fully agree on the standard legal plate.
It only takes 1 pint and an illegal plate, suddenly the car looks pretty parked up on the drive for 18 months 😭 Last week are kid got pulled driving the old ladies Passat as the 'boys in blue' number plate reader couldn't see W7 OPC through a fancy grey'd out Union Jack plate reading W7O PC that my brother in law thought was a good idea. Luckily he'd not been drinking the night before as he was invited into the back of the Astra, but let off with a 'get it sorted' warning. Needless to say the MOT plates will be on 365 👍🏻 |

Yeah I am going to stick with some standard plates, the others are too tacky. But I want to get rid of the GB Euro emblem on mine and four dot do some standard classic ones which are fully reflective and very little written underneath the reg too about from four dots which look quite nice and simple.

Standard looking plates but a high-quality version I understand but not sure I’d pay the premium. Still they will look nicer than dealer plates.

I found the local BMW dealer to be good value, a plain plate with a discreet franchise logo at the bottom and the token post code in the bottom right corner.
On our privately owned cars I have made an effort to have the personalised plates made at the original supplying dealer. It just feels like a little bit of the cars history remains with it. BMW at York and Stockton on Tees for the last two cars, not round the corner from Leeds but easily accessible when doing the day job 👍🏻 |

Really? Is the legislation changing? I thought as long as they complied from a font, spacing, and reflective perspective then your plate can be made of any material.
