Would be very interested *if* could be had in manual RWD.
Maybe they will offer this in G87 form.

As an f83 owner. Hard top is awesome! If you are worried about weight your prob not a vert owner anyway.

Weird that the G81/ 83 look better to me.
I can partly understand the G83, the unsightly side glass line has been removed and is now much cleaner. If the LCI can fix the door crease line by moving it up close to the handle, thereby removing the droop appearance, might be getting somewhere.

Definitely not happening. Even if BMW M had the desire to add a third drop top model (and there's no indication they did, FWIW), the G43 convertible on which it would have been based was canceled early in the development cycle.

Laser light is an option for the UK build configurator, was probably omitted from the US press release. Wireless charging pad is required for using the BMW digital card, iPhone digital key, and OTA update via BMW app. Wait until the order guides are released.

Neck warmer is on the UK build configurator. I had a nightmare about this last night, as this was one of the reasons I declined to accept my 2021 F83, also heated steering wheel was not on the build and 20" 666M.

I have based this on some posts I read on the G20 forums where owners have retrofitted wireless charging to their non-wireless charging vehicles. And prior to the retrofit they already had the keycard and iPhone digital key functionality. It uses NFC which does not require the wireless charger to function. https://g20.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...&postcount=101 If you look at above post, it implies that the digital key function was there and functional before the retrofit of wireless charging. Furthermore the digital key is listed as a feature in the Comfort Access option on the BMW UK configurator so should not require wireless charging I would've thought

I like it. It's probably just me, but the front grill seems to work better on the vert than the coupe. I like it on the sedan as well but I cant seem to get into the lines of the coupe.

For it being a convertible they sure do drive it in a dark tunnel a lot in that ad.
Looks good and part of me wants the vert. The other part doesn't want the extra 300+ pound passenger in the trunk. |

Any pieces of the design language that resembles a Mustang started with the G15 8 Series.
And if we're being completely honest. Ford tapped a German designer, at their office in Germany, who had a history of designing their European models to do the 6th Gen Mustang. Every bend in the metal is meant to appeal to BMW/Mercedes/Audi buyers. But I digress, it's odd to me how much better the G83 front fascia looks with the small changes to the front fascia and pillars. Last edited by OSee; 05-26-2021 at 10:54 AM.. |

We don't exactly get snow here in CA, but I actually prefer top-down in cold weather over hot. Bundle up and turn on the heat, feels great like you the pics made me think x-drive but also that they probably put some thought into the seat/neck heating. No idea if they actually did or not.
