Why does it need the beaver teeth if it's electric? Is it still loaded up with radiators for some reason?

Because the kidneys are worth billions to BMW and it’s the only thing that makes it distinguishable from a Hyundai 1000 yards out to your average Joe?

It's an "intelligence panel" as they call it. Stupidity as I refer to it as.

Quite accurate. Branding elements often do not reflect technical capabilities.

While this is a step in the right direction for BMW EV cars AKA make them look like regular cars you idiots, the thing is just meh. I like the fact that it looks normal, but the normal looking car they make is hideous so yea.

Range is decent and the M stuff is nice. Also it's silent which is nice since the S58 sounds horrendous.

The grill is not the issue, it's the size . You'd think they'd at least redesign the grill for EV's. Make it smaller, sleeker and futuristic to help set it apart from the ICE cars. Anyhow, I won't buy one of these so maybe I shouldn't critique.

They need to stop they have way too many models it's too much and they all suck. BMW needs to go back to have a product line like the 90s. they are turning me off from being a BMW customer I rather buy the old cars

Yes exactly, why lean into such a controversial aspect of a design element when other products in the brand's catalog use a more beloved version of that design element. I don't get it, and I'm in marketing/branding

Agree. BMW got the grille so, so right on the i4 concept and then ruined it on the production car.

Sharing the exterior with Grand Coupe don't want to spend the money on ext design.

That's just their new policy now. It's also on the new X3/X4 M40i LCI and I think on the M440i Gran Coupe.

To the uninitiated like me, the grille on the i4 concept and the i4 look pretty much the same, can you explain the differences that make the former great and the latter atrocious?

Replacing the style of the Hofmeister kink to try the same window frame style like everyone else has to be a greater design stupidity than the grille. It just makes no business, no design, and no sense whatsoever.
