I loved this movie "Across the Universe". I rarely get into musicals but this was an exception. Rick and Esteban's remarks reminded me of this track from the movie. Bono is singing it and the psychedelic atmosphere was pretty cool.

Actually the entire movie soundtrack was extraordinary IMO as some of these people (actors) were more or less singing for the first time.

Indeed! I can't think of another band/artist that interacts with the crowd as much as the Foo Fighters. Grohl is the best. The number of times they've brought surprise guests up onto the stage to perform is great.

The album came out in 1967 but I think I bought it in 1968. I was 13. Now I'm 66. I remember thinking that is a lifetime away, I will never be that old. I am older than that now, and still going strong...

PS - I remember being happy for new music from The Beatles!

Roy Orbison died the year this song was released in 1988. To honor him, there is a scene in the music video with a guitar in a rocking chair and a pic of him during his vocals.

George Harrison died in 2001 and Tom Petty died in 2017.

Only Bob Dylan and Jeff Lynne are still living.
