I read through this whole thread and Im still not clear:

1) Anti dazzle is essentially the technology that "shifts the beam pattern" dynamicaly to not dazzle oncoming traffic, right?
2) Can this be achieved with the regular LED lights (has cornering) of my G20 M340i MY2022?

I believe some F30 LEDs were capable of this, hence my question. thanks!

You need the Laser option on G20.

It will not work without adaptive headlamps.

Just moved from a '19 G20 to a '22 G01 and thinking about trying this.

Is there any merit to this KAFAS lockout stuff on the newer cars?

I have seen corrupt caf when trying to FDL code. Have not hit any issues VO coding.

Dumb question, but this was the default value on my M340i, so do I change these to “disable”? I use Launcher Pro and don’t have any cheat sheets so I’m doing this all manually.

No do not change to "disable". Anti-dazzle (GFHB) was enabled OEM in Canada sometime in late 2020/early 2021 i.e. 5AP removed from the FA.
Is 5AP in your FA?

Based on my analysis, the parameters you listed are the only two changed when you remove 5AP (to enable anti-dazzle) and VO Code several ECUs.

Some of the members (including myself) have analyzed the differences between NA/ECE CAFD files in several ECUs and identified additional FDL coding that improves NA anti-dazzle performance.

5AP was definitely listed in my FA but I VO coded it out per the instructions. The FDL coding you suggested was also complete, minus of course the changes that didn’t need to be made. Everything seems to be working fine after a short test drive last night I just wanted to make sure I got the FDL part correct. Thank you all for the time and effort you’ve put into this!

When you VO code it automatically enables these NCD parameters without FDL coding:

C_HBA_DIM_ENA --> enable
C_HBA_GFHB_ENA --> enable

Hi Almaretto, I have a Canada spec m340i imported to EU; car was programmed to EU, originally had laser lights 05AZ and i have changed to EU type leser headlights (without side markers in headlights); It had 05AP from spec sheet; we were not able to code anti-dazzle (tunnelling effect) to work, would you be able to do that? would appreciate getting in touch as we were trying to code it for the last month!
