So my Connected Package Professional is due to expire on 13th March and the Map Update Package on 30th March.

I was looking to renew these and I'm aware they have changed these options but it tells me they are not renewable and can only be extended with a package but it doesn't give me any other package option on the website.

When I log out of the website I have the options for connected package XL but says disappears when I log in.

Any ideas?

I've always been curious as to what the process is when ConnectedDrive expires. I'd say give customer service a call and have them explain your options for renewal.

That was my next option, it's in on Friday for end of warranty check and first MOT so I will ask at the dealers although I don't expect them to know.

So I emailed the Connected Drive team at BMW and had a reply within an hour.

Basically they said "Your Map Update service expires on the 31st March 2022 – This is stopping you from purchasing a package as this service is included in our packages. Once Map Updates expires you'll be able to purchase the package online".

I emailed them back asking if this means I will have no services from when my Connected Drive Professional expires until the map update expires.

Don't know why they wouldn't expire at the same time!

Further update.

They have replied to my email and will extend the connected drive FOC so they both expire on the same day.

I will then be able to purchase the new package.

Great customer service from the Connected Drive team.
