How much will this front bumper scrape set me back?
Hi,
I scraped my front bumper today in an underground car park. No excuses other than stupidity. How bad is this? It doesn't seem dented, but I think it has gotten through to the metal. The light blue paint you see is the paint of the pillar I scraped against. I'm going to see a BMW-approved bodywork shop this week, but as this is my first BMW, I'd like to know if it's something that's going to cost me in the thousands. |

I had a hit and run similar damage. I believe they charged 1.5k for a new front bumper painted and replacement trim pieces. Front bumper is plastic so repairing it is a pain.

You could do a simple polish if you have DIY equipment to do so and it will help.... but there definitely seems to be paint that was completely removed.

The bumper itself looks it hasnt mis-shaped and it is just paint. Maybe a few hundred quid, plus the cost of a new black trim piece as that looks to be scuffed as well.

Thanks for the reply. I saw an estimator recently, and he said basically the exact same as you, so it's definitely good to know.
