wheel spacers and handling?

Effect of track width on handling is reasonably understood.

Introducing wheel spacers into a car setup can potentially change the car's track width, - is there any experience in this forum on how change of track width (say 10-20 mm per axis) will affect the handling? ...e.g., would it be a significant change or not, for our cars not F1?

Thanks!

you wont notice on the road. to be frank, you'd be hard pressed to notice at full tilt on a track. tehcnically yes they have an effect, but it will be too small to notice.

i run a race car ( not an M340i ) and we have two different wheels with about 10mm offset difference. the only way you can tell is in lap time and its small enough to be basically within margin of error.
