So, I’m not trying to rain on your parade right off the bat, but you might want to take a look at this thread https://g20.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...3#post29894253. You know you have a lot of competition from BMW dealers with freshly CPO’d M340i’s very similar to yours with lower asking prices.

None taken, the car will be sold to the highest bidder here or the dealer. Wish I could lower to under 42k but that’s the current trade in offer, if that help.

That’s a very strong trade offer. Have you calculated the sales tax benefit to doing a trade in? If 8% is the correct auto sales tax rate for Cleveland it looks like a $42k trade value would net a sales tax savings of over $3,300. I’m sure you’ve considered that.

Damn that’s a great trade in offer. Might want to consider that before they drop it significantly. Assuming the dealer can come around and sell for $50k+

Agreed. With a trade offer like that I would do the trade and avoid the hassle and uncertainty of a private sale.

Prefer to have the cash on hand for other uses, price is reduced to 44.5k. Lowest I can go given 8% tax credit I would receive for trade in otherwise.

Most of the time the dealer can give you the cash for your car and still show it on the purchase paperwork as a trade in so you get the sales tax savings.
