My guess is if you select the AWE OE tips version exhaust, its possible the quad clamps will work. Worst case you would have the shop weld and adjust them on.

Nice, was thinking that route as well. I like those M style tips a lot.

I have this pic on another post I created about some mods, but figured it belongs here more.

These are the larger 4" Tips from IA. Installed a few days ago. Very easy install and wow - I love them.

I will def be upgrading the rear diffuser soon.

Looks great. We have a similar spec. I assume you have those on the stock exhaust?

I just bought a set of the 4" IA tips as well. I was pleasantly surprised at their reasonable shipping cost to Australia.

Yes, My exhaust is Stock.

I am not mechanically inclined AT ALL haha. So, the fact that I was able to remove the stock tips and install these, in about 30 minutes - says a lot. And I am LOVING how they look.

Will move forward with IF diffuser next week.

Good to hear. I got my M340i this week and this will be the first part I order.

Can you link to the diffuser? I don't see it after a quick google.

Here is the Diffuser Link. Note that you have the option to order it with the aero pieces (lip) for $320. OR you can order just the diffuser for $275. I will order the full diffuser and lips. That way I have them if I decide I wanted them. Not sure yet.

I am going to do the font lip in the fall, and that will probably determine if I want to install the aero bits on the rear or not.

PS - Congrats on the M340i. It's a BEAST. I feel that it's very underrated. I hear a log of people refer to it as 'just a 340i with a face lift'. It is NOT. The engine is mapped totally different.

It's like having a 340i with a stage 1 tune -but BETTER.

My heart BEATS for an M3. But realistically - the M3 is too much car for me. I don't track. I don't need to roll it, being stupid, on the highway. And . . if I am not gonna drive it stupid - then what's the point of owning an M3 (and by Stupid I mean fast and furious . . not like an a-hole to everyone on the road).

Got side tracked - just meant to say . . . congrats. M340i is awesome

Just installed the aliexpress tips on my M340i. Result is amazing and product seems to be of good quality.

Struggled a bit to install the left set of tips because of prominent metal on the inside due to the welding. So it was not easy to slide that left set on the exhaust. Right set was fine.

As well, my diffuser protruding a bit, I did not put the tips all the way in and therefore tightened 3 bolts on the 4 (could not do the bottom ones). Including locktite. I’ll find out if they fall or not on the German highway tomorrow

Has anyone installed the 4" tips on an M440i? Wondering if anything has to be done for clearance from the diffuser with the larger diameter.

I just installed the 4in IA quad tips on my LCI. It is annoying me that they are angled down. I've tried adjusting them to no avail.

Is this something I just have to deal with or should I keep trying to align them?

Anyone found an option that looks like it could have come from the factory, black or silver? I'm looking for something that's a flush with the diffuser, no carbon surround and doesn't have that rounded edge either.

hold them level while clamping and bend them into place. all the factory exhaust are not the same alignment.

Have tried out that setup? thinking of doing the same since AWE quad tips are like 700$ extra and I find they look a bit too big/aggressive.

Have you managed to fix the angle of the tips? I love the way these look, but that angle would drive me nuts. I'm also not a fan of being able to see where the tips end on the inside. The aesthetics would benefit hugely from a slightly extended outer wall along the lower portion of the tips.

It seems like the rear bumper curves in a bit more than it does on the pre LCI, which exposes the tip too far in under the bumper. Bummer.

Here’s the IAW 4” on an M440i GC. I didn’t have to bend the heat shields at all. Some inner parts of the diffuser are touching. If I had to do it over I’d lean towards the 3.7” instead for more clearance.

i had the same fitment. I am local to IAW and went to show them and thier shop car was the same way which is why they recommend the modification. The other thing you can do is put a 2mm washer on exhaust hangers and it drops exhaust just enough for no contact on the 4" tips.

i have been running mine with slight contact with no issues as is IAW for a year. they have tracked thier car as well and no issues from what I could see.

IMO the look is worth it over any fitment i will need to overcome. they look amazing and proportional in person.

Thanks for the recommendation on the exhaust hangers. I ended up putting two 2mm washers on each side and have clearance now.
