How do you? We're all speculating at this point but if history is any indication, you're priming yourself for disappointment.

I don’t know - that was my point. And, I didn’t portend to know or make an assumption that it was just DRLs. Further, we just saw some pretty significant LCIs with the X5 M and X3 M. I think it’s anyone’s guess.

I don’t think the 4er spy shots have much relevance except for seeing the new headlights. As I said, we have yet to see a G8X LCI, but when we do we will know more. And, my comments were pretty general -“updated looks.” Finally, my first M3 was a 2008 E90. Things are different now so I’m not equating the situations. But either way, I’m familiar with how an LCI can change the look of an M in a big way and help improve resale value (a negative for me).

E90 - ‘08, ‘09, ‘10, ‘11 F80 - ‘15, ‘16, ‘17, ‘18 And, G80 has been in production for 3 model years, with probably 2+ more, wouldn’t say that’s necessarily “long in the tooth”. |

However, it’s starting to feel that way to me. The 2024s start production very shortly. It feels like it should be approaching the end of its lifecycle. The LCI feels overdue. Just IMO of course!

MY’24 G80 is a carryover from ‘23. MY’24 G82/G83 has been updated with iD8. MY’25 will be the next LCI, and there hasn’t been any official announcement, nor will there be for quite a while.

I wonder if the LCI G80 will have the rumored power bump for the Xdrive or hopefully it will be for the MY’24

No change in HP for ‘24, G82 is already in MY’24.

Is the LCI #2 F80 holding its value better than pre-LCI? More so than just the fact that it's a year newer with fewer miles? I've only taken a brief look and asking prices seem to be inline with the miles and age of the car. I think the M2 vs. M2 Comp shows a significant difference in price, but not sure about the F80 where the changes were more minor afaik.

Very close to zero, but we should know within a week or so. January allocations for March production (which will be MY25 for the M4) are due any day now, and they will have to publish the order guide by then.
If there were big changes like dropping an entire model (the M4 base), that should have been communicated by now. |

Yes they are. January allocations are for March builds. Production of MY2024 M4s ends in February. Production of MY2025 M4s begins in March. Ergo, January allocations for M4 builds will be MY2025 cars.
