2019 330i Custom 98 (US 93) octane Tune Results
Hey guys!
I got my car tuned to Stage 2 (actually they called it Stage 2 "minus" because I did not remove the OPF and it is restricting power) at Stertman Motorsports in Sweden and I'd like to share with you the dyno graph as well as Dragy numbers. All Dragy numbers have a positive slope deliberately to show "at least this fast" results. My mods: - MST performance intake - Masata chargepipe - DCE parts 200-cell downpipe - Custom tune Stertman 98 octane (aka 93 in the US) - Spark plugs gapped to 0.55mm (0.02 inches) - xHP Stage 2 with default settings - Stock exhaust with OPF (EU version) - Rear-wheel drive - Tires Michelin PS 4S (their 3rd season, far from the best condition) Overall I consider my tune as "conservative" because I plan to drive this car for a while and I don't want my engine or transmission to break. Dyno graph (Mustang dyno). I should mention that the baseline run was done with all hardware installed and stock ECU software. I'm surprised it showed surprisingly low torque with the hardware upgrades. If stock hardware should make 400 nm, how is it possible that with the upgraded hardware it only makes 397 nm? It could be something to do with the dyno, but Stertman told me that: "The Mustang Dyno shows 100% correct numbers and most of the time the numbers are heartbreaking and seem to be low. If you want higher numbers - use Dynojet" Draggy 0-100 km/h (and 0-60 mph) Run 1 Run 2 Quarter mile - I did only one run and I'm pretty sure this one is not the best one based on the traction issues at the launch |

Still those are good times, especially considering small positive slope, but I am a bit surprised and curious to why the dyno read 397NM. I'm assuming you tuned with XHP active on your acceleration logs. Are you getting the 10D000 torque limitation code, by any chance? I know there is still a bit of skepticism that the code is only a 'shadow' code, with no affect on actual torque limits.
I never knew that STAGE 2 implies without an OPF. Is that a common convention among tuners?

Did you resolve this issue? Were you able to extract more torque/performance?

European car, MST intake, DCE 200cell downpipe, OPF removed. Stage 2.98Oct. -472nm - 332hp. The car runs perfect. Without removing the OPF, it is not possible to achieve optimal performance, it represents a significant obstruction.
