2 more flats and bent rims
19” staggered on the run-flats.
Hit another pothole early this morning and both driver side tires instantly flat. BMW says both wheels are dented a bit but I can try driving on them. $1,000 for 2 tires and alignment. $2900 if I want to have 2 new wheels installed. Had another pothole incident a few months ago and replaced a tire and a rim. I didn’t feel any vibration but wanted to play it safe. $800 for a front rim and $400 for the tire. This is very concerning. Have the car for 16 months and have 21,000 miles, lots of highway driving. Is it worthless to file an insurance claim? |

This is exactly why I got wheel&tire insurance out the door. So far I've filed 3 claims for damaged tires resulting from potholes. The dealer handled all the paperwork and replacements.

It is either your luck or the roads you drive on is just too shitty. If it is the latter, i would suggest to get the wheel/tire insurance which normally i do not recommend anyone to get. But it seems you do need it. |

I am 100% against RFTs but i think runflat might help to reduce some of the damages due to their stiff sidewall... but if someone hits the pothole hard enough, nothing will save them.

I am more worried about suspension damages, cuz those are harder to diagnose and warranty won't cover them because you hit a pothole. |

18” wheels, go flats, 30k miles, no complaints.
That’s the price you pay to look “cool” I do have M794s but for summer time only. 18” are way to go with these cars if they are dailies.

Dodge those potholes my guy, if it’s a crappy road I just turn around. Get some thicker sidewalk tires non RFT. With how much you guys get taxed, those roads should be pristine
