New Car Shopping 430i xdrive M340i xdrive M440i Xrdive
So, as some of you know, my car was recently stolen after having it for less than a month. My plates for it literally just came in the mail yesterday. 😞 Anyway, Geico came in clutch and is paying $36k for it. Time to find a new daily driver to replace my M Sport 330i xDrive. I kind of want a 4 Series. I know everyone hates that grille, but I actually like it. Every time I see it in person, it looks great. I'm thinking of a 430i or M440i xDrive, but I would go for an M340i as well if I came across the right deal. My 330i had enough power for me, but I really want to try the B58 after seeing great things about it constantly on these boards. Is the B58 worth the extra $10k? Has anyone here upgraded from the 330i to the 340i or 430i to 440i? Was the jump in power that big? Do you find yourself needing the extra power on a daily basis?

Depends on how much you want to spend. I have a 430ix and love it great power and handling, so much nicer thsn my 328I. That being said this car would be a beast if it had the B58, if you can afford it go for the M440. If you go with the 430 you won't be dissapointed, I'm in a 330i loaner now (non m sport) and it drives nothing like my car.

the B58 is 100% worth the price difference, without question

Thanks for this! Yeah, my 330 had the sports suspension, and I had just put go-flat tires on it two days before it was stolen. It drove great, and I loved it. I'm definitely leaning toward the 4 Series. I was initially leaning toward the 3 Series, but man, I'm really starting to love the big beaver. Lol. Also, I have no kids and have never had a two-door coupe. I think it's time to change that.

Go Gran Coupe, best of both worlds. The rear doors come in handy in dead rear quarter space anyway. And the liftback is epic and so useful. At least take a test drive. And the grille hate is so 2021. You don’t need to worry about that stigma anymore. |

Gran Coupe is so sexy. Definitely an option if I can find a nice one with low miles!

New owner of a m440ix myself. Dare I say it out loud but the front end does look really nice and the whole car looks sweet. The car is just the right size not too big or small. Sadly can't say more since its in storage till May.
