Hello all,

Is anyone having issues with comfort access recently?

I have my 2022 g21 set to lock on walkway and it's been perfect for the past 22 months. Recently it started intermittently not working leaving me to accidentally leave it unlocked one night. I was going to mention it at the service in late December but it appeared to be fine for the couple of weeks leading upto it so I never did.

I have noticed this week however that it's stopped working altogether so I have to manually lock everytime.

I have tried toggling it on and off in drive to no avail. Anyone else having issues?

I'm in UK and have auto software updates on so am presuming it's a new firmware thags causing the issue but wanted to check if others are suffering similar issues.

Brand new battery done by bmw during service less than 2 weeks ago. The car definitely recognises the key as the Comort access still works by grabbing the handle to open etc, the only things not working are the lock by leaving and unlock by returning (which I don't use anyway)

Strangely I have also had to reset the welcome and goodbye lights tonight as the headlights and welcome carpet lights etc were nit switching on when unlocking the car. Toggling these off and locking the car and then turning back on seems to have fixed this but nothing I have tried has reset the comfort access.

Update, welcome and goodbye lighting not working again, I.e. when unlocking the car it stays in total darkness, no headlights, door handle lights or puddle lights are activated. Will phone the dealer tomorrow as a lot has started having issues since the service which is very frustrating.

Do you happen to have anything close to the keyfob that can interfere with the signal (e.g. other keyfobs, Apple AirTag, Tile, etc.?)

I have issues with mine when I have other things in the same pocket with my keys. Like my phone or vape.

Nope, nothing else in pocket with fob.

Have called dealer and was promised a call back but so far nothing.

My phone in my pocket next to my key prevents it from locking or unlocking sometimes.

When it somehow gets stuck on not locking or unlocking automatically from FOB proximity, then I hit the lock button 4 times and for some reason that fixes it on the first or second try.
