235/40/19 or 245/35/19 for Xdrive adaptive suspension
Want to ditch my 225/40/19 for either the 235/40/19 or 245/35/19 I have the 792m wheels not sure if they are 8 inch or 8.5 inch wide. Which would be my best bet? I’m looking at ps4s? I’ve seen that long forum about tire sizes already but not much is mentioned about 235/40/19 on a adaptive suspension Xdrive
Which would be better for handling and cutting up |

I went from the stock RFTs to 235/40 Pilot Sport All Season all around and definitely think it is an improvement, although hard to say if that has more to do with being Non-RFT versus the different width.
Keep in mind a 235/40 will have a slightly taller sidewall than a 225/40 (but still within the 1% tolerance), so the wider tire should be a bit smoother/better at absorbing bumps also.

I have staggered wheels with xdrive and just ordered 225/45/19 and 255/40/19 tire sizes. It should give me an extra half inch of sidewall. Can't wait to see how it rides

Sidewall is half inch thicker. It rides nice and smooth. Pilot sport all season 4 is a great tire. It’s not a dramatic difference vs the run flat. Nobody in my family noticed the difference in ride quality but it is smoother for sure. The bumps aren’t quite as harsh…but again, nobody noticed but me

Good to know. I was hoping the added sidewall would make a more noticeable impact on comfort, but doesn’t sound like there would be a huge benefit (I switched to the PSAS4 in stock sizes already). Thanks for sharing!
