Charge pipe on a OTS tuned car?

Is there a benefit to putting an aftermarket charge pipe on an m340 with an OTS tune and downpipe?

I may be outdated on this info, but have understood that it is almost pointless unless you’re going big turbo or doing meth. Further, that the charge pipe failures of the N54/55 were addressed in the b58 from the factory…

Thoughts?

There is benefit in that you will have peace of mind. I upgraded to the FTP charge pipe and I am at stock power, however, peace of mind was worth the low cost of upgrading.

As was already shared it's purely peace of mind and is not necessary whatsoever

But it's peace of mind for something that we shouldn't be concerned about in the first place so now that's got me thinking

I will be upgrading to stage 2 on stock charge pipe and I'm at peace

I recommend having a look at kern417 videos, he mentioned why stock charge pipes are fine And how it's different from the N55

In our case (below 500 wheels) it's more aesthetics I believe and the peace of mind to justify the purchase but keep your money and invest toward xhp.

Only my opinion here.

Not mandatory to upgrade the stock charge pipe as it's not as bad as the older platforms. But its something i would do in my build for the extra peace of mind.
