Hi all,

I’m new in the BMW world …not completely new because of owning a 2004 Mini R53 JCW Challenge … so that’s why I’m registering today.

So first of all I want to present myself and my new BMW :

I’m 47 yo and I’m living in France . I’m working on a Chemistry plant as a mechanical engineer .

I’m the proud owner of a 12/2022 BMW G21 LCI 330e M-Sport ( no XDrive ) , with only 8700km in its odometer . I’m really impressed by the quality and the performance of this hybrid car, because I previously have an AUDI A3 40 TFSIe with 204hp, and it’s really another world, in terms of performance and sport’s parameter adjustments, for sport’s driving mode.

Last week I have installed my trailer hook . I gave up installing the induction multiplex box, because it was difficult to find the electrical cables (I found them on the rear light connectors, but can’t find them in the rear trunk , for the moment )

I was surprised to discover two 12 volt batteries in the trunk... does anyone know why it is equipped with two AGM batteries?

I have a 2021 330e (also none xdrive) thats been having issues updating the idrive software.
I called bmw conncted drive and was told that one of my batteries were not meeting some requirements for the update.

I was confused as to what battery the conected drive supporter was referring to and thets when they told me the car has 3 batteries.

1. Hybrid battery
2. 12V battery for the engine
3. 12V battery for the idrive (and possibly other tings too)
