Just a couple of days after receiving and installing the 11/23 update, I received and installed the 03/2024.40 Update.
I hate that it screws up my telephones paired with the car. I always have to pair them with the car again after an update.

2023 M340i on MPE just updated to 03/2024.40.
My findings:
Overall: The drive is less sporty, and it’s going for a more “comfort” feel. I personally am not a fan of this but I’m sure some might prefer the more refined drive. |

It expired and the app downloaded it again and it is stuck still. I haven't had the chance to bring it into BMW. I thinking about finding a power supply to put on the battery to see if that will help force the update.

I should also add that I do not have Iconic Sound turned on.
Previously even with it off, the MPE note was just right. Not obnoxiously loud, but not as quiet as it is right now. As for driving dynamics, I did a hill climb today at Sport+ just to double check, and just as expected, it’s now constantly putting me in gear 4 and 5. What’s annoying is it stays there even with speed drops, making any sudden pulls respond slower. Usually when I drop speed, the gears drop to 3 very quickly and at anytime when you press the pedal, it just goes. Now, it either stays in gear 4, or drops from 5 to 4 and tries to pull from 4 at a lower RPM. If that makes any sense…. |

Probably an odd question but I haven't updated my software since I got my car, currently on 03/2021.55. Is it actually worth updating software? Did they bring actual fixes that were relevant such as improvements to DAP? Everything runs without bugs, remote options such as unlock, start, etc, so was curious if updating was even worth it? I get map updates with no issues, I don't want to update if no significant improvements were introduced to convenience or DAP performance as I would need to redo bimmercode and updates may introduce additional bugs if anything.

(I don't have the full DAP and do not use AA or CP.) I think it also added the possibility to turn off Lane Keep assist, which on some narrow roads is too nervous, but maybe it was there also in 3/2021. I don't know if the newer versions are all for the good or not. I have the Engine Sound Menu from factory and don't want to loose that. |

What do you mean by that? Speed set, whether it's following a car etc? If so, I will check later today. (pre-lci, DAP, 03/2024 sw).
