Best bolt-on dyno you've seen

Alright folks. There’s a zillion threads out there about how much hp you gain from a downpipe, pros and cons of piggyback tunes, should you run ethanol, etc.

Enough with the bro science. Let’s see some real before and after dynos. What are the best dyno sheets you’ve seen with bolt ons? Let’s see what you got!

I don’t have any dynos to share with you, but here are what you can expect on the top range (most optimistic) on a dynojet with Catless Downpipe and ethanol tune.

Note- The other basic bolt-ons like intake and charge pipe do next to nothing.

Stock- 385 whp (60-130: 10.8 sec)
E30- 470 whp (60-130: 8.6 sec)
E40- 490 whp (60-130: 8.3 sec)
E50- 510 whp (60-130: 8.0 sec)
E50- 550 whp with Port Injection (60-130: 7.6 sec)

Remember, dyno is just a tool…the best test is running it at a track or going to “Mexico” for some 60-130 pulls.

Dyno's numbers are a terrible tool for what you are looking for. You can put the same car on the same dyno 10 times and you will get 10 different WHP numbers. Not to mention different dyno's calculate WHP differently. 60-130 and quarter mile are a better tool for comparison.

This is why I’m looking for true before and after dynos. Same car same day.

A lot of people make claims about what a downpipe adds, let’s see some before and afters!

Hardly anyone does a baseline dyno, and then another dyno with mods on the same dyno. That is the way to do it, but I don’t think i’ve seen that done, at least on our platform.

Different Dynos can be calibrated to spit out whatever number, and that is why it’s not the greatest tool. 60-130 is the best tool IMO. I have a nearby stretch of flat road (in MX) where I’ve done my pulls with various mods setups and fueling…that’s how I track gains.
