245/30/20 front and 255/30/20 rear
I have a set of genuine 795m alloys that require new tyres all round
I know the stock set up is 225/35/20 front and 255/30/20 rear but wouldn’t mind more front end grip So would 245/30/20 fronts with 255/30/20 rears work better? Looking online 245 is max size for an 8j rim and 255 for 8.5j Car is a 22 M340i xdrive Cheers |

I use this. Front and rear have to be “1inch diameter of each other or computer will flag. Also, Speedo will be off. I’m installing the process of getting a set of OEM 840i wheels with the same spec. I was told that the best set up is the stock set up 225/255. I am hoping someone more knowledgeable can chime in. https://tiresize.com/wheel-offset-calculator/ |

Yes, running that exact 245/255 setup on my M340i with 795M. Slight decrease in turn-in responsiveness, but noticeable improvement in terms of understeer and front-end grip. No issues with xDrive, highly recommend for anyone currently on a 225/255 stock setup.
