2025 m340i x drive mods?

Hello everyone new bmw owner here just ordered 25 m340i xdrive.. should arrive in 2 months roughly. Looking to do mods that will not void the warranty. They will be putting the m performance exhaust on at the dealership. And I was wondering if the Active Autowerke down pipe would be good to do when I get it or wait until the motor gets broken in and put some miles on it first? Since I can’t tune the dme without voiding the warranty. I don’t want to make it run bad if I can’t tune it. This car will be a daily driver and I am in Jacksonville Florida.

First mod I did to my m340 was an active auto works downpipe, then I went ahead and put on an intake.

The downpipe I did at 10,000 miles and the intake I did at roughly the 15,000 mile mark. Great performance and quality.

Beware fitment may or may not be different on the TU2’s. Also DP with OPF will likely throw a CEL.

Aa guarantee no Cel but on the new m340i b58tu I’m not sure yet. I’ll have to call them to verify. But you think their down pipe would void the warranty

Modding doesn’t necessarily void warranty. But if you encounter issues during your warranty period, BMW can try pointing at your down pipe or other mods as a cause. You’d then have to fight them to prove it was the cause.

Some dealerships play nice, others don’t. May want to ask around your local community for those who had good experiences at their dealership.

I’d say just keep it stock if you’re concerned about warranty. Now, if you had a pre 2025 M340i, i’d tell you not to worry about warranty and go get yourself a downpipe and a tune, since the gen 2 B58 are proven time after time to take massive abuse.

If you want to avoid any issues with your warranty, it's best to keep your car stock. Any modification you make can void the warranty on the replaced part and on other related parts.

based on data from hundreds of thousands of tuned cars, as long as you use proven mods and follow the recommended maps, your car should be fine without any real risk to your warranty.

The Active Autowerke catted downpipe is an excellent upgrade. It enhances airflow, reduces back pressure on the turbo, and increases both sound and power, all with minimal risk to your warranty.

Ya- The 2025 m340s come with the new b58 gen 3 that are fitted with Port Injection right out of the factory, but I’ve seen a few vids on youtube suggesting they’ve been a bit problematic. Once they sort that out, that thing will eat when tuned.
