No such luck for me. I just tried it on my drive home, but still nothing in the HUD. Do you mind letting me know what version of Idrive and Waze you are running please?

That's weird and sorry to hear that. Since I didn't do anything on my side, I was expecting everyone would have the same happy news but apparently not so.


My Waze version is reported to be 4.107.0.1 and will have to come back on the iDrive version after checking next time I'm in my car. My Android Auto version is reported to be 12.5.643034-release.

Great to hear it's not just over here and out of interest, Android Auto or Apple Carplay?

Only thing I wish now after using it for a couple of days is the symbols were as clear on the HUD as they are on the screen.

For instance, would be nice to see what lane you should be in for an upcoming exit. Rather than just an arrow pointing to the right.

Sometimes, the symbols on the HUD are not only unclear but even incorrect.

For example, let's say you need to go around (make a 180) to go back to where you came from and you're approaching a roundabout. Looking at the symbols on the display, this is correctly shown with the symbol of a roundabout and a 180 arrow drawn through the complete roundabout. Clearly showing what you're supposed to be doing. Where on the HUD, it looks like you're supposed to go left in the roundabout with the arrow pointing out of the roundabout on the left side rather than towards you.

A bit hard to explain in text but I hope you still understand what I mean and I hope maybe these things will improve over time now when it's finally working again. Or at least started working for some of us.

I use AA. I agree, I wish the directions were more clear like maps shows but it is ok.

I read somewhere maps adds the waze reporting benefits in one upgrade thst was released in India first. Satellite background on maps looks great.

Yes, Google Maps looks really good and will start using Google Maps too when I can send reports and see reports from others. So far that has not happened over here.

I sent a suggestion to the Waze team how it would be great if they could use the same icons/symbols on the HUD they use on the main screen.

This is helpful. I just got the 07/2024.30 update today and installed it. I will try Waze again on the way home from work today.

That's great, hope it will fix the problem for you.

Totally unrelated but I had an issue with the AC and the AUTO mode which was corrected with this update.
