Hi all - ordered the XPH adapter and buying the XPH transmission tune once it comes. I was looking at FAQ on their website; and it said any piggyback tunes should be removed before doing the transmission flash. Just curious if I need to fully disconnect the JB4 before doing the XPH flashes?

since only 1 thing can be plugged into a OBD2 at a time. You would have to disconnect the JB4 in order to connect the XPH adapter to flash it.

I can easily disconnect the JB4 from the OBD port; I just didn't know if I needed to remove all the JB4 connectors from within the engine bay (EWG, TMAP connector etc) or if I can leave those as is.

My bad! Lol. But anyways I installed the stage 2 XHP flash tonight and it worked great! I left the JB4 on and no issues. Shifts are smoother, firmer and it's cool you can see what gear you're in at all times now.

What year is your 330i?

I’ve been lowkey following your work and was wondering what all is required for this transmission tune?

It's a 2022. I did the flash no issues (kept JB4 installed). All you need for the flash is the license/map pack off the XHP website and the OBD adapter (I got the XHPadapter from burger tuning since was out of stock on XHP website). You then download the free app.

Purchased the mhd adapter, along with the xhp license and map pack.
Hopefully can get this running this week, hella excited.

Awesome! I found the first flash takes about 7 minutes. After that switching between maps/settings only takes about a minute or less

Of course! I left the JB4 installed under the hood. All I disconnected JB4 wise is where it plugs into the OBD port under the dash. I connected the XHP OBD adapter and connected my phone wifi to the adapter. I was then able to flash using the XHP app on my phone. Once complete just disconnected the OBD adapter and plugged the JB4 back into the OBD port.
