Car is not lowered. I kinda have the mentality of coilovers or nothing. Don't want to throw coils on it just to have to take them off at lease end since I have car OCD anyways and will prob try to get into the new G80 next fall when the AWD version comes out

I read somewhere that it is not a good idea to run different wheel diameters on a X drive as it will mess up the the system. I am considering a 19” 275/35 9.5J rear tire and 235/35 8.5J for front. Worried that that the overall diameter different is about 3% which will throw the car off. I had a staggered set on my ‘17 X drive 340, but don’t remember the dims, it was all factory. Any advise? |

BMW sells an option for a staggered set up from factory with 225 fronts and 255 rears even for the AWD M340i if I'm not mistaken. Maybe others can chime in but I'd try to stay within the 1% range if possible

Yo guys,
I've ordered new rims from Supra A90 on my rwd 330d and new tires upfront 235/40/19 on 9j rim. What do think of mounting 255/35/19 on 10j instead of 265/35/19 on 10j for rear axle? 1. 255/35/19 overall diameter is factory and the level of stress for transmission components under heavy condition is the same. 2. Tire calculator shows the same level of sidewall stretch. But how does electronic stability system works with different wheel diameters? |
