High Mileage Club
We keep hearing that B48/B58 engines are more reliable than predecessors. Let's hear about those high mileage cars.
I am sitting at 102,000 miles. Still running strong. What is your mileage? |

What repairs have you had to do so far, besides the usual maintenance? Any gasket (valve/oil filter housing) or motor mount replacement?

Mines at 48,000 miles now, not really high mileage but most of those miles are with an aftermarket downpipe and intake.

I’m sitting at 54,000 miles with my 330i. Not quite high mileage lol Haven’t had any issues lately. Just did some basic maintenance recently. (Front/rear diff fluid, transmission and transfer case fluid). She’s been solid

45k since Dec 2020, and still running strong! Nothing serious so far besides a code about “drivetrain malfunction” when I installed my FTP charge pipe. But all the car needed was to settle it in and recalibrate for the code to go away. I just have an aftermarket intake, charge pipe, and disconnected the exhaust clip. Getting an exhaust and possibly a down pipe for the future.

At almost 48K, owned the car since 11/2020. Only major issue I’ve had is the oil pump shitting the bed at around 22-23K, prompting an under warranty motor replacement. Had low coolant at around 45-46K. No leaks or anything that I can tell so was just a fluid top off.
Kept up on routine maintenance. Oil changes every 6K, brakes done last summer (pads, rotors, fluid flush). Gotta do trans and diff fluids soon. Mod wise: no tune. FTP charge pipe at 15K, exhaust at 17K, intake and downpipe at 25K. Compared to everyone else’s, I think mine has been the most eventful lol.

Recently purchased a 2023 G22 M440i coming from a 2014 F32 428i.
What should I do preemptively to protect myself as I accrue more miles? For example the F32 N26 had OFHG issues. Currently at 8500 miles. |

2nd owner on my 2020 m340xi currently at about 66k miles, not very high mileage, kept up with routine maintenance and so far it's been perfect, I've had 0 issues with it, no rattles or squeaks from the interior as well.
The car spent most of its life stock, added an AA catted DP and an intake about 10k miles or so ago, and some lowering springs earlier this year, car is on stock tune, no issues other than burning through my fuel faster from a happier right foot |

57k miles or 93k km since January 2020. Leaking right laser light replaced under warranty right before that lapsed.
Oil pump (4/19 build), battery, and starter replaced out of pocket in February. Oil pump was inevitable, but battery and starter were maybe a bit my fault since I've always let auto start stop do its thing. Hasn't made me love the car any less. |

52k currently, bought new August 2019 (5/19 build completely stock) so almost 5 years ownership. Just regular maintenance thus far, filters, fluids and brake pads. Since my warranty has ended I have switched to 5K oil change intervals at the local indy shops.

Regular maintenance (oil, filters, brakes, tires etc). No gaskets replaced.
- 35k - Front tie rods replaced (warranty) - 56k - Active cooling flaps replaced - 90k - Front control arms replaced - 90k - Engine mounts leak identified. Deemed not urgent, postponed. What major preventative maintenance should be consider at 100k mi? Should I switch to 5000mi oil changes? Have been thinking of doing it. |

21’ M340i had her since new, 55k on the odo. Not high mileage but she’s been great. She gets all her mandatory maintenance on time.
The older she gets the better she gets. Edit 12/17/2024 58,428 miles thankfully no issues. I do take her in for all scheduled services. Man she runs great. However once she hits 100k I will either rebuild the engine or definitely upgrading to a pre owned 2022-2023 aM3 or M4 Last edited by M340I///M; 12-18-2024 at 01:12 AM.. |

Hi All,
I have a 2020 330i X Drive. Just crossed 80k us miles , purchased with 2k as it was a retired service loaner. Went through my fair share of break pads, but other than that, absolutely nothing has been wrong with the car. I’m still on original rotors. I do have ultimate care 3+, which replaces all of the items for free till 100k. Engine mounts at 40k, water pump at 40k, spark plugs at 60k, and oil changes every 10k. I do average about 37mpg since I have a heavy commute which is all highway. |

88k Miles and only changed Low ball Joint
I have a BMW 330E and have driven through France, Italy, the UK, Germany, Spain, and Morocco. It's the cleanest and most reliable car no defects, no problems. I average 4.4 L/100 km, and I'm so happy with it! (The battery is flat/dead.) When I'm in London for most of the year, I try to charge it as much as I can because the fuel consumption is so high when the battery is flat.

57K plus currently; and has surpassed the 5 year mark this August. Still running without issues daily. Plan on doing spark plugs at 60K. Also looking to upgrade to the G80 sometime late next year.

2020 M340i with 45k miles. 2nd owner and I bought it with 25k miles. Nothing major under my ownership. Installed a Dinan airbox and AA catted DP almost immediately. Replaced year pads at 35k ish. Front pads had recently been replaced before I bought the car. Regular oil changes. Indy Shop uses LiquiMolly. I occasionally have to add a quart or two between oil changes at every 5k. But not always. I did just need to replace the battery. Did it myself for around $200. Used BimmerLink to register battery.
Coming up on 50k. December bonus is coming so I might just do spark plugs, transmission, and differential fluids. Interior. Leather seats holding up well. HK system seems to be holding up with no issues. I did replace the cabin air filter a couple months ago and had a hard time getting that damn cover back on tight and it will rattle under a hard bump. Luckily not that often. I think that’s it. |

I'm also at 57k miles. Do the following for maintenance:
Oil and filter changes every 3k miles Cabin air filter every 15k miles Changed the filter in the Dinan CAI at 50k (Installed at 11k) Rear diff fluid change at 50k Spark plugs changed at 50k Trans filter (pan) and fluid at 50k Installed an AWE touring exhaust at 20k Installed an Active Autowerks DP at 10k. Dinan CAI and pipe at 10k. Only issues thus far was the sunroof motors took a crap and quit working at 25k miles. Fixed under warranty. The AA DP also throws CELS for "inefficient converter" and I have to reset that every 50-300 miles. The original runflats were done by 30k miles. I have a set of Michelins now. Much more durable. Added one of those spare tire kits to the trunk with that change. Still on the original rear pads. My drive is 80% highway, generally at 75mph. |

84k miles. I'm the second owner since 7k miles. I drive about 500miles or more a week. I was running a dp, jb4 on 7.8psi+ additive map 6, e30 for 2 years. The only issue I had during that time was a CEL due to a faulty fuel tank breather valve and my coolant being too low once. Now my dme is unlocked and custom tuned on e30, pushing 23psi. Running this since summer time this year. Still driving it daily without any issues. I change my spark plug every 6 months though. It's probably excessive lol. I change my oil regularly, flushed my brake fluid once, changed my brake pads to EBC redstuff pads, and changed my tires once. I log atleast once a week. That's pretty much all I've done so far.
