I just received my 2025 M440i. The BMW genius at the dealership helped me set some of the setting in Idrive. She linked my Amazon account through the Alexa integration tab but we never tested it. I have Amazon Prime music and wanted to be able to launch it with a voice command.The genius said I just had to long press on the mic button. I went into the mic settings and there is a tab for Siri but not for Alexa.

I'm looking at the BMW app on my phone and its says it is connected but it also has an icon for my vehicle next to it which says M440i with the words, not supported, under it.

We never actually tested in at the dealership. Is it safe to assume it isn't supported in my vehicle or am I doing something wrong?

If I launch Alexa manually and play Amazon music it synchs with the car and plays it.

I just say “hey axexa play (name of song)”, and it works. My car is a 2022 though. Or say “hey alexa”, and asked for something weather or time in a different area.
