Has anyone tried the ambient light mod on the G20 central console?

I've found the kit he used on Aliexpress (you'll get a thousand results if you search for 'Center Console Saddle Light For BMW G20'). But I've spotted in all the adverts it's for LHD. Wondering if it'll be compatbile with RHD?

Every seller i've seen on Ali says it's for LHD only. Visually I don't really see a difference, but the part numbers are different between LHD and RHD so I haven't ventured to give it a shot personally. If you manage to find a RHD compatible version please let us know

Sellers are rubbish as well, asked a few why it's not compatible but let's be fair they won't know it's just a copy paste job. Tempted to try it but I imagine the return procedure is almost impossible (not used AliExpress before)

I fitted the OEM MPerformance knee pads a while back and they are RHD/LHD specific as well.

From memory it makes sense they are different parts as the trims would marry up to a different profile on each of the dashboards depending on what handed drive it was.

Interesting, but not a mod for me. I like a dark cabin and the puddle lights in the ceiling offer enough so I don't need any more light.

If you look very closely at the center console you can see that the left hand saddle is longer than the right (silver part) and this is why LHD won't fit onto the RHD car. I've been search for this for a very long time with no success.
