Entering Tyre Settings on ID8
I’ve just fitted a set of 20” 795M wheels to a M340d. When driving for the first time it detected a tyre change and prompted me to update the tyre settings.
I tried the auto detection, but that failed. Then tried to manually input them but there’s only options for 18” and 19” wheels, with any other sizes requiring ‘special authorisation’. Is anyone else running 20’ wheels and have the same message and is this something that needs to be authorised/actioned by a dealer? I know in some markets the cars can be spec’s with 795M wheels. Now that's sorted can we get some pics of the new rims on the car please?
... and you need to come back in a month and tell us how you are getting on with them. |

It’s due a service soon, so I’ll query it with the tech. I know they can scan the tyres and enter them electronically, so that may open up some additional options.

If they have a QR code on you may be in luck, otherwise the dealer will probably just pick the "special authorisation" option.
