Hello !
I would like to do retrofit of rear view camera by myself. I already made some progress but still missing the most important thing, connection and coding. My huge request to all the comunity is how to connect the cables in the rear and in the front of the car. My car has ID6 and PDC rear and front. Rear view camera is a must have for me. The list to buy was: -original camera ICAM2-R, OEM cable 61 11 6 812 571, the plastic that holds camera in the trunk. What is the right connection in the trunk fuses and in the front of the car? Thanks in advance for any help !!! |

I sent you a PM.
What parts exactly did you buy? - ICAM2-R camera (part no?). - Wiring Harness (61116812571) - Rear Camera Support Bracket (51247405635) - Trunk Switch (51247405634) - Anything else? Last edited by Szamo; 10-07-2024 at 08:35 AM.. |

I hope someone can help me, as the creator of the thread is unfortunately not responding.
I have now also installed the camera and (partially) routed the wiring harness. - Brown goes to the rear right ground support point - Red/violet with a fuse bypass to Z2a F214 But what about green (ETH_BB_H), white (ETH_BB_L) and yellow (ETH_WUP)? I have the small Business Navi. I don't have an Ethernet switch installed. Do I have to buy this additionally? If so, why? Why can't I connect the cables directly to the BDC? Since the thread creator is unfortunately no longer answering, this could be difficult.
I can only tell you what I bought: - ICAM2-R camera (5A35910). - Wiring Harness (61116812571) - Rear Camera Support Bracket (51247405635) - Trunk Switch (51247405634) - Fuse bypass mini Last edited by Szamo; 10-07-2024 at 08:34 AM.. |

Unfortunately, I haven't made any progress because I don't know where to connect the camera.
Even if I buy the Ethernet switch, I face the same problem of not knowing which PINs to connect the switch to. I'm not sure but both 1/2 and 37/38 seem to be occupied. It's quite unfortunate that the thread creator (although he is active in the forum) doesn't want to help us here. Last edited by Szamo; 12-18-2024 at 06:16 PM.. |
