I apologize if this has already been covered.

IÂ’m trying to change the ambient lighting in my G20 B46 2020 running 11/2023.50.

It seems no matter what I do I cannot change the interior ambient lighting and now the lighting has gone altogether after changing the instrument cluster from standard to Alpina.

I tried going to expert but I simply donÂ’t have the actual values in 360A -> LichtPacket (G20 anything is missing). Also, in my setting menu I donÂ’t have any interior lighting menus or options available but I do/did have interior red ambient lighting along the doors and around the wheel/dash.

Am I missing something? Any help is appreciated.

Not possible for G-Series I think... I tried many codes but didn't succeed to do it!

Had to re-code all my features after an update and accidentally coded this. Thought it was cool at first but it doesn’t function. Anyone have any idea how to undo it . . Or better yet get it to work

Good question. I'd love to replace the water temp with oil temp. I've tried but the best I could do was change the dash to the M version. I love that dash version but the ONE thing that dash doesn't display, which makes it a deal breaker for me, is that it does not display the DEC mode (driving mode) and as I am always switching between Sport and Sport+, I can never tell which mode I am in.

Otherwise that is one solution.

I'd love to find a way to display the driving mode in the M version, that'd make it awesome.

Thanks for the feedback. I did not know coding to the M version displays the oil temp. However I don't really like the look and feel in combination with my luxury line 330i. It feels out of place. Would be great to just replace the water temp with oil temp. I had a E92 before with the oil temp gauge and I miss the display in the G2x. Now I find myself switching multiple times between the sport display and android auto until I'm sure the oil is up to temp.

You can read my post here, but the first step is to ship your KaFAS module to someone who will put the two missing FSCs on the bench. It cannot be done remotely, or software...

lost "Caring Car" and "Climate Control Rules" menus in my iDrive 7. Not sure if it was due to software update version 03/2024.47 done a few months ago or because I did not subscribe to "Connected Drive". Is there a way to code this back in via Expert Mode?

Those are ConnectedDrive paid features. Automatic functions for climate control can be coded though.

These steps should resolve your issue (keep us posted):

- Please make sure vehicle is outside with a great cellular reception before performing the steps below.

- Hold the power button down for 70 seconds exactly. The volume knob is the iDrive power button. It will reboot twice.

- After 70 seconds, release the power button and wait for iDrive to boot up.

- On the iDrive, click "Apps" and then press the “Option” button near the iDrive controller in the center console.

- Choose “Update apps and services”. The vehicle will then undergo a short update.

- Finally, remove the My BMW App from your phone and then reinstall the app.

- Once the update completes, shut the vehicle off and allow a few minutes before restarting the vehicle to check all your apps are there.

I have an e63 630i LCI 2008.

Always after closing the car sunroof, the curtain closes about 10 cm. Every cycle. So when you close the car for a 3-4 times it will completely close. It's very annoying. Was consulting with my serviceman, he said it is somewhere coded function.

I use bimmercode for my cars, but cannot find what parameters to search about this curtain.
