Seat belt pretensioner no longer working

After having my software updated to 7.2019.39 the seat belt pretensioners are not working. Anyone have any experience with this and how to fix it/point BMW in the right direction?

Had the same issue. BMW has no clue, you wont be able to point them in any direction as they are unaware of it. I just gave it like 2 days and it started working again. They aren't as aggressive as they used to be though so I feel like they may have adjusted the settings for it, but caused additional issues with the feature.

And as you said. This morning they started working and all is right again. Not sure why but I'll take it.

Glad to hear. Does it still feel like before or does the 'tug' feel less aggressive initially?

I'd say about the same maybe a touch less if I'm subjectively biased.

Oh man, I just found this thread. This happened after updating to 11.2023 in my car. However, it's been a couple of months since and the pre-tensioning came back but super weak.
So, I guess it's a software issue after all.
Bummer.

On 11.2023 - don't have this issue. Unlikely to be software related otherwise this should have blown up already. Perhaps check with your service department.
