Gear Shifter Shattered

Just bought a 2020 330i and the clear (not crystal) shift knob is shattered. Pic attached. Dealer isn't going to do anything about it since it's an as-is sale and I'm not interested in replacing the entire shifter.

After a quick look on Amazon, I can get a cheap "carbon fiber-ish" overlay for about $25, but thought I'd throw a question out here: Can the clear part of this shifter be replaced? Does it pop out? Or is it a replace it or cover it situation? Thanks for any thoughts!

Definitely a cover or replace it situation. The good news is if you change your mind on replacing, it isn't hard to swap out for a new one.

You can replace only gear knob. BMW part number: 61315A44122
Should be around 100$ at dealership.
