Purchasing an M340iX
Hi all! Been talking to this dealership about this 2020 M340i xDrive,
66000 Miles Every Single option possible, laser lights which I really wanted from factory, Build sheet included. 38k, but I really want to try to negotiate the price since I do think the miles are a little high for the price. 2 owner vehicle Super clean for the miles Car was made in March 2019, so ECU will be easy to unlock, dont have to send overseas to (FEMTO) Need some advice on how I can negotiate the price down, and if I should even purchase the car at all. Thank you! |

Nice car - a nearly fully loaded M340 minus the tire and cooling package and rear heated seats. My exact missing packages. My car has been great. If it has what you're looking for, try for 36,500 and see if they bite. Shoot low, meet in the middle, just like the dealership on your trade

A few things to consider, and these are just my personal opinions for what they are worth.
A used car without some kind of tint has had UV rays blasting inside the interior for 4 years. You can tell by the sheen on the leather, and the steering wheel. A properly tinted car would keep the leather looking matte and like new for a lot longer. You're in Cali and buying a car from the Northeast. That is the worst spot in the country for salt corrosion and harsh winters. Look for cars from the South or West coast: https://raybuck.com/salt-rust-corrosion-by-state/ I know its exciting to see a car you like, but trust me, there are tons out there, and more come up all the time. Don't settle with your hard earned money. |

"I know its exciting to see a car you like, but trust me, there are tons out there, and more come up all the time. Don't settle with your hard earned money." Wise advice here. Don't settle. Be patient, it'll be worth it in the end.
One tip: save your search parameters on something like Autotrader and check the new listings every morning. If you know what you're looking for, you can be making a phone call to a dealership asking for the build sheet before the listing even has photos up. Particularly if you're looking for a car with specific options that are rarer (adaptive suspension, ZTK, etc.), that can help you tremendously. |
