2024 M340i Xdrive Weird rattle/vibration/resistance(?) when going over speed bumps
I am experiencing something very weird with my 2024 M340i Xdrive.
Recently, my apartment complex added speed bumps within the complex and I started to feel this weird rattle/vibration/resistance coming from front wheels whenever I am going over them. When the car's front wheels gets over the bump and starts to roll on the flat road surface, I can definitely feel some very subtle resistance + slight vibration. It happens every time I go over the speed bumps. It is really hard to describe what it feels like in words, but the closest way of describing it would be like I am forcibly turning something in the front wheels. Does anyone else have this kind of issue or know what might be causing this? I've only had this car for about 3 months and car has less than 3K miles on it, so it is kind of puzzling what could cause this in pretty much a brand new car. I am worried that I might be wearing down something and eventually break the car since I am experiencing this whenever I am driving in/out of the apartment complex. Additionally, I found a different place with different speed bumps and tested, and the car shows same behavior. Looking for advise on the cause of this and if I should be taking the car in to the dealer for some kind of fix. Thank you. Last edited by lwjw0808; 10-24-2024 at 01:53 AM.. |
