If you have FDL coded some of your ECUs, perhaps back-up your ncd files (CAFD) since many of your ECUs will be updated with this Recall. For example, for my vehicle, 28 of the 33 ECUs would have been updated if my vehicle was on the same SW version as yours.

Thank you Jawnee
Than you for answering my question.... So your vehicle was on the same i-level as Myth and prostcfc. I am surprised your DME remained unlocked after the recall.... What version of SW is your vehicle now (post-Recall) running? If it is 07/2024.40 or newer, then perhaps Mission's tune is using the most recent BTLD .... purely speculation, on my part....

The chances do go up with an DME that has been modified. |

Earlier this year, my car was towed to BMW during its time in the repair shop after a wreck to get the battery replaced. They also updated the software and I’m on the version that corrects the starter issue. I ran my VIN and it’s not affected. I’m stage 2 MG Flasher, didn’t flash it back to stock. The DME was locked when I got it back, so I unlocked it again and re-flashed. No problem at all on my 2020 (build 3/19). So they pushed it through without issue and I was never asked about if the car was tuned. This dealer has only seen my car 3-4 times so they aren’t too familiar with it. I have mentioned to my SA that the car is tuned (I’m outside BMW warranty).

This is all very interesting to me. We have seen cases in this forum (and this thread) where people took it to more than one dealer, because dealer #1 either couldn't (or wouldn't) do the recall, and others go in completely blind while still tuned, and have had zero issues or feedback. Even Mission has said they've ran across cases where there was an issue. I'd love to know what the variable(s) is/are!
