Hi all, just bought a 2021 bmw m340i (ecu locked) and I was wondering what the best process is to tune my car.
I know I have to get a femto unlock but what is the best way to do that? Through myself, through europerformancecenter,...etc. What would be the EASIEST hassle free way to go about this.

If you dont care about spending the extra money, go with EPC and let them take care of shipping/ paperwork. I know the paperwork for the temp export has changed since I've done it, but it is relatively easily to complete.

I have unlocked 2 ECU for my cars, I just dont see a reason to pay someone to do it.

It's a very straightforward process; contact Femto on Instagram and place your order.

They will give you an address to create the DHL label, give the package to DHL, and 6 days later, it will be delivered back to you.

I understand that process seems simple emough. However how about the payment process? I heard it’s wire transfer only by bank account? No credit cards? Also have to create some sort of payment account with another bank ? Not completely sure that’s why I’m asking. Thanks.

I dont remember to be honest with you but even if its a wire transfer, most banks do online wire transfers now.

it takes minutes to enter the needed info on your bank app (Femto will give you all the needed info), then send the wire just like you zelle money.

i think its best to try and do it yourself first, and then if you get to a point where it seems too difficult, pay someone to do it for you.

Hi. Can you let me know some of the cons of doing it yourself? I’m trying to figure out if having an intermediate like EPC is worth it.

The process is so simple there are zero cons in my opinion.
