2019 330i b48 bm3 ots E30 map

Just flashed this ots E30 map and man what a difference I don’t have a flex fuel kit I have a ethanol tester and just used e85 cal but idk if it’s perfect e30 mix but I haven’t gotten any codes or it’s not going into a limp mode or nothing just pulling really hard and I’m having a blast with it kinda a pain to keep mixing and trying to get a E30 mix might go back to the 91 map

Congratulations! Glad you are enjoying the e30 Flash. It definitely is a huge difference over the 91 or 93 flash tune and very fun!

So our cars have 15.6 gallons (59 liters). I found the best way to fill up consistently for a e30 mixture is to let it get low, to about 15 miles, 10 if your ballsy. And add 4.68 gallons of e85 then fill up the rest with 93 or 91 depending on your region. If you already have fuel, the rule of thumb I use is for every gallon of e85 I add 3 gallons of 93 and it has seem to work out for me quite well.

Of course you have to test the ethanol content on the pump to determine how potent the e85 is. Pump ethanol can vary from 62% to about 87%. Once again, depending on the area in which you live.

I live in the northeast and i have noticed during the winter, I get very low quality pump ethanol, so I actually buy 5 gallon jugs of ignite red which is race gas quality ethanol (e90) and I fill up with that rather than the unstable pump ethanol. Ofc this option is more expensive. For a 5 gallon jug of ignite runs me about $80.

Also keep in mind that you can use a ethanol content analyzer that will read out a close estimate of how much E you have in your fuel tank. This get installed inline with your fuel lines so it reads it directly from the factory low pressure fuel line.

*** and last but not least, with any tuned car please check your datalogs! If your running exotic fuel mixtures then it’s best to always log after your fuel mixture has settled just to make sure you don’t have any pre-detonation (knocks) the e30 tune is very agresssive and advances timing quite a bit so you want to make sure your fueling is on point to make sure your engine is running healthy. You may want to also do some research as some guys run a tighter gap on their spark plugs if they are running any kind of ethanol mixture tunes. Just something to think about!
