The answer is yes, you need a low profile jack. A block of wood or adapter to space out the lift pressure is a good idea. Keep in mind this jack point is not marked and the subframe is under the plastic aero cover that you're using as the jack point, so you have to take your time and ensure that everything is aligned nicely.

You can use old brakepads instead of those cost 40gbp and they are free and will do the same job safely. Works for me since 15 years.
