Google assistant missing

Hi all.

I was wondering if anyone has noticed their option to assign a long press on the voice assistant button to Google is missing.

I nipped into a shop earlier and when I came back it said I had been assigned as the primary user - i always was and shortly after that I noticed my Google assistant was not working with no option to reassign - only Alexa.

No software update etc has been received.

I have iDrive7 so it might be different. I have never bothered with Alexa, and the default for a long press at the mic button (no need to assign) has for many years been to redirect to the voice assistant on the mobile phone. That means Google Assistant on Android phones. Though I had to allow this function on the mobile.
What shows after a long press when "Unassigned"?
Are your phone still connected?
Tried restart of the iDrive system (30sec press on vol/power) button?
Maybe reconnect your phone?
