Physically traveling at the speed of light is likely to never be achievable, however, effecting >= SOL theoretically can be achieved by warping space, which is what is believed to be the likeliest means by which any aliens could reach us.

This is a 1935 Wedgewood stove. Made of cast iron and probably very heavy. Made in California by a Canadian. Still sought after by collectors and easily refurbished.

Speaking of cast iron stoves, I toured Chartwell (Churchill's country home in Kent) for the first time a few weeks ago. According to the docent, they put this stove in, new, when they bought the place in 1922. Seeing that it was obviously all cast iron my comment to him was how heavy the thing must be and how it's obviously never going anywhere.

"In 1964 a group of high school kids skipped class to go see the Beatles. They didn't get into the concert but while they were driving, Ringo pulled beside them & snapped their picture. When they told their friends no one believed them. Fast forward 50 years & Ringo publishes a book of his photographs. They were in it. They reposed the shot as they look today."

I love watching vegans buying no-spray apples at the organic orchards here. Guess that bugs/worms aren't meat in their minds.....
