2021 330i Brake Upgrade to M Sport or M Performance

Hello everyone. I recently got a 2021 330i M Sport with the basic brakes. I would like to upgrade them to either the M Sport or M Performance version at some point.

When searching online, I can find plenty of options for the M Performance brakes, but I can't find any options to purchase the mid tier system (M Sport).

Does everyone just skip the M Sport and go straight to the M Performance if they're doing a brake upgrade? If the price between the two is negligible, then I'll just plan for the M Performance version, but wanted to check with ya'll before going any further.

Thanks!

Check Ebay for the M-Sport (348mm) setup... you might be able to find a good deal.

I was in the same boat as you. I was fortunate enough to get what was basically a brand new set of M-Sports from a user on here. I think I paid $1500 for all four corners. Throw in Turner steel braided lines and some Motul RBF 660 and it has been a fantastic setup for me.

Thanks Helmet. I’ll keep looking…just seems weird that I can find so many new Performance kits, but nothing for the Sport kits.

The M-Performance setup is a catalog item. For M-Sport you’re going to have to find take-offs.

Also, to buy the M-Sport piecemeal at the parts counter would be prohibitively expensive.

This is probably why you’re seeing the M-Performance more often.

I’m looking at doing this too, specifically to the mid-tier M-Sport brake set. I know that rotors, calipers, and pads will be different than the base set, but will i also need to change brake lines too?

It’s not required but it makes sense to do if you’re already down there ripping everything else out.

Yep. Need to bleed the brakes anyway with a caliper swap. Would defiantly use that opportunity to upgrade the lines.
